Money Around the World

Money is made all around the world. Different countries have different kinds, though. Their money can have different names. They can look different. And they are worth different amounts.

In the U.S., money comes in bills and coins. American money is mostly counted in dollars.

Many people in Europe use Euros to buy things. A Euro is worth a little more than a dollar.

In Mexico, people use the peso. A peso is worth around five U.S. cents.

In India, people use rupees. It takes many rupees to buy the same thing one dollar could buy!
