Trains and Tracks

Trains can move many things across long distances. Trains can carry supplies and people! Have you been on a train?

Trains travel on railroad tracks. The wheels of a train fit perfectly on the railroad tracks. The trains follow where the tracks go.

Trains that carry people make stops along the way. People wait on train platforms for the train to come. When the train comes, they get on. Trains have seats where people can sit. They sometimes have places where people can buy food.

Some trains go very fast! These trains are called bullet trains. They speed across the country almost as fast as a bullet!
