Ethiopian Cuisine and No Utensils

Ethiopia is a country in Africa. In Ethiopia, people do not use utensils to eat most Ethiopian dishes. They use a bread called “injera” instead of using forks, knives, and spoons. Sometimes injera is also used as a plate. Injera is a flat, round bread. It has a sour taste. People use the bread to scoop up food and then put the bread and food into their mouths.

Ethiopian food is becoming more and more popular all over the world. When many people think about Ethiopian food, they think of lots of meat. But Ethiopian cuisine has many vegetable dishes, too!
