Parts of a Day

Days have four main parts. Let’s read about each part.

Morning is the early part of the day. The morning starts when the sun rises. It starts to get light outside. People wake up in the morning. Some people go to work. Some go to school.

Afternoon is the middle part of the day. The afternoon starts at 12 o’clock. People usually eat lunch in the afternoon. The sun is shining bright if it’s a sunny day.

Evening comes after the afternoon. Evening starts around 6 o’clock. The sun sets in the sky in the evening. It starts to get dark outside. People usually eat dinner in the evening.

Night is the last part of the day. It is very dark outside at night. The sun is gone. But you might see the moon in the sky. People go to bed at night.
