Presidential Dollar Coins

The United States Mint is the part of the government that makes coins. One kind of coin the U.S. Mint makes is the $1 coin. These coins can be made from bronze, silver, or brass. Some of these $1 coins have faces of United States presidents on them. The U.S. Mint started making these presidential dollar coins in 2007. These coins help Americans celebrate the presidents of the United States.

These coins can be used for buying things, but they are more often used for decorations. And even though each coin is worth $1, one coin can be expensive to get. Some presidential dollar coins are sold for close to $300 each! Some people like to collect as many as they can.

Do you have any presidential $1 coins?
